Since the preview some time has passed and I could play it a lot.

So here is my tiny review of it:
I love it. Atmosphere is awesome, nice comic style cutscenes, incredible voice acting.
Besides that the quest system is really great. Now that I played it for a while it’s the one thing missing in Torchlight. Sure Deathspank is just a hack n slash, but instead of blindly slashing your way through the monster masses you get those neat little quests that give your actions some reason. Mostly very funny ones, too.

I also love the map, you have areas where you can go at your current levels, but better avoid areas that are too high level for you. Return to them later once you are stronger.

Graphic and gaming wise I still love Torchlight, you also have a pet.
But Deathspank is a very good game that shouldn’t miss in your shelf while waiting for Diablo 3.

We are slowly reaching release time. So in case you don’t know it yet. Yes, another extension is coming to World of Warcraft.

Looks pretty good so far. Maybe I’ll finally start playing a bit again. I miss my guild.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light looks like a fun game to be.

It’s an isometric ‘shooter’ from Crystal Dynamics. The legendary studio behind GEX. One of the best games on PSone and tons of other great games.

It will be released around August/September 2010. Enjoy the trailer.

Wow, the guys from denmark called Playdead created one insanely looking game.

Unfortunately it’s for XBOX only so far, therefore I won’t be able to play it. Dang.

Yah well, in case you got an xbox take a look at it. This looks amazing!

If you like playing good old point and click adventures I am pretty sure you played the Monkey Island series.

As a big fan I was looking forward to the remake of the first part on the iPhone a while back. I played it to the end and it was quiet fun but the interaction was not really what I was hoping for. It was basically the same game with nicer graphics. Everything else was the same as 20 years ago.

But that era ended now. Monkey Island 2 is awesome. Not only does it look fantastic on iPad, they finally changed the controls, too. You touch the screen and the character moves there, or interacts, whatever. The controls are just perfect.

Voice over is on board again, too, and sounds as great as in the first part. Also you can switch between the retro look and the new graphics.

Once again the help system found it’s way too, so you don’t really need to go online and seek for help. Help comes in 3 steps. First a hint, than a more clear hint and finally exactly what you have to do. I love that. So you still get a chance to figure it out yourself. And if you really fail than it tells you what to do. Great idea.

Other than that there is nothing much to say. If you havn’t played Monkey Island you were probably hatched from an egg. So grab it. You won’t regret it.

Next I want to see Maniac Mansion, Day of the tentacle and there are tons of other point and click adventures that were really cool.
So since no studio seems to be creative anymore to make a new, great, point and click adventure, just remake the old ones, thanks.
